Specifically handmade in South Africa for the connoisseur buyer, these premium-quality chessboards are made from alternating walnut and maple woods. The board is raised on a solid wooden base to protect against humidity and temperature changes and is made from imported woods from the USA. It is finished by rubbing natural oils into the wood before applying multiple coats of Bri-wax (a mixture of beeswax and carnauba).
Each chessboard is carefully handcrafted and promises to last for generations to come if cared for properly. Board size: 55cm x 55cm with 55mm squares.
