222 opening traps after 1.e4 - Müller & Knaak
This is the first of two books in the ‘Opening Traps Series’ - 222 Opening Traps after 1.e4 and 222 Opening Traps after 1.d.
222 Opening traps after 1.e4 will teach you clever traps across various e4 openings, enabling you to outwit your opponent early in the game.
Kartsen and Muller propose two main objectives that you must learn:
-
- Master traps in openings to avoid disasters.
- Learn to expand your opening repertoire to set your traps systematically.
- This book is suitable for players of all levels, but the depth of benefit depends on your experience.
- Learn all the important openings after 1.e4, such as the Italian, French, Spanish and Sicilian.
- Familiarise yourself with introductory texts and their typical motifs.
- Clear explanations of tactical ideas behind each trap.
- Develop both practical skills and a sharp eye for hidden tactical opportunities.
