Reader’s Reviews:
Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual (DEM) is the gold standard in endgame instruction. I do believe that a dedicated club player could benefit significantly from studying DEM. Still, it will take tremendous diligence and hard work - I Smith

About the Author:
Mark Dvoretsky (1947–2016) was one of the most legendary chess instructors in history. Though a strong International Master himself, his true genius lay in training elite players - most notably GM Artur Yusupov, who became one of the world's top players, as well as Kasparov, Anand and Topalov. His systematic, deeply analytical teaching approach produced results that spoke for themselves, and GM Yusupov wrote in his foreword to the Endgame Manual that the book represented "one of the secrets of the Russian chess school."
As an author, Dvoretsky produced some of chess literature's most respected works. His Endgame Manual, first published in 2003, was immediately recognised as a modern classic and is widely considered the single best endgame book ever written. His books are known for their exceptional depth and uncompromising difficulty, demanding serious study but rewarding readers with a profound understanding of chess that has influenced generations of strong players.
