Experience a thrilling twist on the classic game of chess.
Prepare for a new level of intensity as chess transforms into an all-out war! While the rules remain the same, the gameplay is dangerously different.

Introducing the four-player chess set, designed to infuse your games with unparalleled strategy and excitement. With this set, you can engage in epic battles with up to four players simultaneously - an essential addition to your collection.

Unleash hours of exhilarating fun with this four-player chess set. The movement of the pieces mirrors that of regular chess, but players must stay vigilant against threats from all directions. Alternatively, the game can also be played in teams, allowing for cooperative strategies and alliances. With the power to create your own rules, you are in complete control of the battlefield.

This set includes a high-quality vinyl board specifically designed for four players, accompanied by four sets of distinctively colored pieces. Additionally, a convenient bag is provided for storing the board and pieces, ensuring easy transportability.

Board dimensions: 65cm x 65cm with 4.5cm squares.

Guidelines for Four-Player Chess

General Rules for Individual and Team Play:
  1. Each player can only move their chess pieces on their turn.
  2. If a player is in check, they must wait until their designated turn to respond to the threat.
  3. When a pawn reaches the King's row (left, right, or directly across), it receives the same privileges as in traditional chess, such as promoting to a queen, rook, bishop, or knight.
Individual Play - Option 1:
  1. Each player can attack any of the other three players, and vice versa.
  2. When a player is checkmated, there are three options: a. Remove the checkmated player's pieces from the board. b. The player who checkmated the defeated player can use the remaining pieces during their turn. c. The checkmated player's pieces remain on the board as stay-in-place obstacles, blocking the path of other pieces.
  3. Play continues until only one player remains.
Individual Play - Option 2:
  1. Agree on a time control and use a chess clock.
  2. The goal is to score the highest number of points.
  3. The King can also be captured, and play continues even without the King.
  4. Points can be earned in the following ways:
    • Checkmate (+20)
    • Capturing active pieces: King (+20), queen (+9), rook (+5), bishop (+5), knight (+3), pawn (+1), promoted queen (+1)
    • Checking two players simultaneously (+5)
    • Checking three players simultaneously (+20)
  5. A player is eliminated when they run out of time, and their pieces become inactive.
  6. Pawns promote to 1-point queens on the 8th row from each player's perspective.
  7. The game ends when three players have been eliminated. The player with the most points wins. (Note: It may not be the last remaining player.)
  8. When a player resigns or times out, leaving two or more active players on the board, their King remains "alive" and is worth +20 to whoever captures it.
  9. In cases of stalemate, insufficient material, three-fold repetition, or the 50-move rule, the remaining players each receive +10 points.
Team Play:
  1. The most common form is two vs. two, where allied pieces cannot eliminate or capture each other but work together in defense and offense.
  2. Allied players sit across from each other and aim to checkmate the players to their left and right.
  3. The game ends when both opposing Kings are checkmated. If only one King can be checkmated, the game is a draw.
  4. Teammates win or lose together as a team.
  5. Example Team Setup: Team 1 - players 1 and 3; Team 2 - plyers 2 and 4
