Each piece is hand-sculpted by skilled local artists, cast from crushed stone or polystone, and painted in fine detail using Windsor & Newton oil paints.
The regal lion leads as King, the elusive leopard takes the role of Queen. The powerful buffalo, resilient rhino, steadfast elephant, and spirited monkeys represent Bishops, Knights, Rooks, and Pawns, respectively.
The highly durable wooden board is hand-cut, treated and encased in a hand-designed moulded polystone frame.
