The St Petersburg chess piece set is inspired by Howard Staunton, who introduced and promoted the standardised Staunton design at the 1851 London International Chess Tournament.

Hand-carved from Anjan and Boxwood, the pieces are designed to withstand the rigours of play and maintain their elegance for years to come.
