Designed to be treasured for generations, this exceptional luxury backgammon set represents a lasting investment in artistry and craftsmanship. The exterior lid is carved from solid walnut and features a raised central Ottoman Shamsha medallion with precisely arranged star patterns that create symmetry and depth, reflecting the Ottoman design's mathematical elegance. Smaller medallions flank each side, contrasting against recessed panels and framed by geometric borders.
Inside, the backgammon playing surface is masterfully crafted in solid walnut. Each point is outlined with delicate geometric mosaic inlay, while two Ottoman Shamsha medallions are positioned at the centre of each playing field. Each point features a precision hand-carved recess designed to seat the first disc/checker securely and integrated storage compartments are built into both sides of the board.
